Breeding Programs

Stonegate Racing Stables breeding program continues to evolve as our farm, racing partnerships and sales continue to grow. Stonegate believes that our strong mares help set the stage for the program and then we add a mix of proven and new to market sires. Our emphasis on sires is to breed to a horse that has the qualities that best fit the mare....we want to enhance her weaknesses without diminishing her strengths. Stonegate works with bloodstock agents to help evaluate our breedings through Nicking and individual anaylsis of the mare's and sire's physicals. By reviewing our recent breedings, it will be evident that our sire choices give us both options...to race or sell commercially. The primary goal of our breeding program is to make great New York bred race horses!
