Stonegate Racing Stables is owned by the Johnson family of Fort Edward, New York.  William Sr., Carolyn, William Jr., Deanna and Amy Johnson have owned and managed the farm since 2006.  The Johnson family was inspired to own a farm of their own to be able to enjoy their passion for horses.  Having been long time admirers and guests of Gulfstream Race Track and Saratoga Race Course, the Johnson family started into the New York Thoroughbred racing business with their first purchase, Mr. Windjammmer! Purchased as a yearling for $5000.00, Mr. Windjammer has been a catalyst for the Johnson family to expand their program and allow for others to enjoy the thrill of owning and racing Thoroughbreds.  Surrounded by leading trainers, vets, farriers, a talented and professional farm staff and of course great horses....Stonegate Racing Stables is a growing force at the race tracks and in the breeding shed.  The Johnson family is proud of the farm they have developed, their friends and team both at the tracks and back on the farm.
